keemoworks stencil aerosol art
New Works by Keemowerks and Christopher Konecki
Opening Reception: Saturday, December 10, 2011 5-10pm
Exhibition Dates: December 10 – January 8, 2011

Artist Bios:
Christopher Konecki
alt art konecki san diego
San Diego artist Christopher Konecki aims to take a whimsical look at mankind’s misunderstanding of his own environment, in particular nature. Self taught, his paintings mash natural images with an unnatural style of acrylic paint and aerosol cans. His latest work confronts an inevitable future where hardship is constant, but the human spirit carries on. In
imagining this future world, Konecki draws inspiration from past events like the Great Depression and Dust Bowl. He takes an irreverent look at mankind’s self destructive behavior in times of great hardship. Konecki also sprinkles in some humor because no likes a party pooper.
Keemowerks
Keemowerks was born in Manila, Philippines in 1980. Keemowerks is a self taught, National City based artist where he is slowly emerging as a stencil artist. Keemowerk’s style consists of intricate multilayer stencils mainly in black and white. Many of his pieces have up to ten layers each. Inspired by Japanese animation, he creates portraits of Mary Jane Skulls. It’s an ongoing series where the goal is to complete 100 portraits. Keemowerks continues to evolve and refine his style as a stencil artist. His work also includes graphic design and street art.
